This painting was a present for the client’s partner. He provided me with a really detailed photograph so my most challenging job was to make it into a unique portrait. The painting was 30 x 40 cm in size painted with acrylics on stretched canvas. I layered colours to make the darks vibrant and warm.
I took some photos of the painting when finished. I am also including the reference photo.
I completed this portrait a couple of weeks ago. It was commissioned before Christmas and it is my second commission for this year. The portrait was square in size and as you can see, it is a selfie. I wasn’t sure about it when I first saw the photo, but as I started working on the painting, it really grew on me. It is an interesting perspective and it reflects our lives today. I loved the joy oozing from the picture and I wanted to capture that. The portrait was 30 x 30 cm in size, painted with acrylics on stretched canvas.
This is the latest portrait to come off my easel. I finished it just today and here is the scanned image. The portrait is 25 x 30 cm in size and it is painted with acrylics on canvas.
