Boxer Dog 'Buster' in Coloured Pencils

Buster's portrait was commissioned as a Christmas present in 2017 by his owner's daughter. She wanted to gift her father a keepsake drawing of his pet boxer dog. Buster is beautiful and I thought his pose was very interesting, looking over his shoulder. The coloured pencils worked well to emphasize his tan patches. I decided to include the background in monochrome to soften the portrait. The client wanted me to brighten Buster's eyes as he looked a little sad in the photo. The drawing is 20 x 20 cm (8 x 8 inches) in size drawn with Faber Castell Polychromos coloured pencils.
