Jasmine, my client, who commissioned an acrylic painting of her beloved grey mare pony emailed me a few days ago with an update on the painting. It is now framed and has taken a pride of place in Jasmine’s house. She emailed me some photographs of it in situ and it looks lovely. She and her framers picked out a really simple frame which works very well with the painting.
This is what she had to say:
Hi Ivana,
Hope you had a lovely weekend! Just wanted to say how thrilled I am with the portrait of Buttons. It’s absolutely perfect & you are so incredibly talented! I’m still very embarrassed I cried in your home but I was so overwhelmed by how much your painting looked like her! I could nearly reach out & pet her again!…I thought I’d send on photos of it framed because she looks great – the framer even managed to put a plait of her mane in behind the portrait. I’m also going to eventually get a silver plate put on the frame with her name & year of birth/death. This has really helped me grieve for her & I’ll cherish it forever. Thanks a million!

Thank you so much Ivana! Your portrait of my beloved Buttons will take pride of place for the rest of my life at home with me! You are truly a talented artist and delighted you accepted my commission! ?
Thank you Jasmine for giving the opportunity to paint Buttons for you. It was wonderful capturing her likeness on canvas and you being happy with the result makes my work even more worthwhile.
