This is a portrait painting in acrylic on stretched canvas I created a few weeks ago. The painting is of a happy young boy called Tom. Tom sadly passed away recently and his portrait was commissioned for his grandfather. The two shared a wonderful relationship full of inside jokes and laughter and Tom’s grandfather wanted…
Aoife with Cole
I was commissioned to create this drawing in January. It is of a young lady called Aoife sitting with her beloved pet french bulldog Cole. Cole was her best friend and accompanied her everywhere. The portrait was commissioned by Aoife’s mother as a keepsake for herself to keep Aoife’s memory in an art form around…
Darcy, Tallulah and Holly
Meet the cutest three bichon frise dogs! They are Darcy, Tallulah and Holly. Holly sadly passed away just before Christmas 2023 and my client Scott asked me to create a drawing of all three dogs for his Mom, the dogs’ owner, as a gift to remember her beloved pet. He previously commissioned a pencil drawing…
Sinead and Sean with their baby son Shay
I drew this beautiful family last month before Easter. Sean is a client who contacted me back in January. I created a portrait drawing of him and his wife in 2020. The first drawing was an image from their wedding day. Sean wanted to commission another portrait at the same size of 40 x 40…
Jerry and Matthew with their dog Lenny
This is one of those portraits with an unforgettable setting. I painted this portrait back in January this year. It portrays Jerry, the client’s husband, who was turning 50 in January this year. It was commissioned as a birthday gift for him to remember a very special family trip to Norway. He is pictured here…
Eloise
Commissioned in January, I completed a vibrant portrait of Eloise, against dark red dahlias, for her father Henry—who previously commissioned a piece featuring his dog. Celebrating Valentine’s Day, I captured Eloise and her joyous expression and contrasting colors for her mother as a gift. The 50×40 cm painting was impactful in its size. My approach harmonized background and skin tones to enhance the piece’s emotion.
Footballer Aidan McCann
Commissioned for a client county Monaghan, this painting depicts Aidan McCann’s goal celebration during the 2015 Louth County Football Championship. Based on Seb Daly’s photo, the artist removed an additional player and captured the moment on a challenging 30×30 cm canvas. Employing a vibrant palette, including Cadmium and Cerulean hues, the client was very happy with the finished painting.
Toby the Pug
I painted a portrait of this very cute pug dog called Toby a few weeks ago. He is sporting a very trendy bandana and really connecting with the viewer with his gorgeous brown eyes. I worked with larger brushes for the background to create an out of focus backgdrop to Toby’s head. He is the…
A Painting of a Father

“Q” / “Only Browsing”
