I completed this portrait a few weeks ago. The two cats are just lovely sitting on the stairs looking through the banisters. The client wanted to include a setting in the painting and this photo was just perfect for that. I kept it quite neutral for the black to pop off the image. The painting was small in size, 20 x 20 cm square. It was painted with acrylics on thin edge stretched canvas.
