I work from my studio in Kilcock. It is a small room with shelves all around to put my finished and unfinished work onto. I like to give each work a few days to 'rest' before I completely finalise them and email my clients their portrait scans. On this page, you will find more information on how I work together with some progress photos and videos of my process. I discuss the materials I use and how I go about completing each piece of work. Because I work from photographs, I like to share them here too for comparison. You can subscribe to the blog and receive updates 3 to 4 times a month.
This portrait was commissioned as a first birthday present from a client whom I completed a couple of portraits for previously. The little boy in the photo is Teddy and in his original photo, he is sitting up in a bed with his grandad beside him. My client wanted me…
In the middle of December 2024 I was contacted by a client enquiring about a commission. This was to be a first wedding anniversary gift for his wife Rachel. Craig and Rachel got married on the 29th December 2023 in Las Vegas, U.S. He was originally interested in commissioning four…
Over the last few years I worked on a few equine portraits. I have worked with many clients and created both paintings and drawings of their horses and ponies. Since I have a few of these under my belt, I decided they needed a page of their own. The page…

I painted a portrait of Terri and Sheri as my last commission of 2024 last December. The painting travelled all the way to North Dakota in the U.S. It was commissioned by Terri, the lady holding the camera in the selfie image. The sisters are twins and so identical, it…
I was commissioned to create this painting as a Christmas gift for a couple that got married in the summer of 2024. The scenery the wedding photographs were taken is just breathtaking. I found it very inspiring and enjoyed every minute painting this gorgeous couple. The forest behind brings some…
This is an acrylic painting of Aine, a very happy owner of two golden retriever dogs called Cassie and Millie. I painted their portrait as a birthday gift commissioned by Aine’s husband Declan. My client contacted me last year and I completed the painting at the end of November. The…
