I was contacted by a client a couple of months ago to commission a portrait of her friend. She had a photo of her as a child sharing a special moment with her father. The client wanted to capture this moment so we decided to keep everything from the image including the kitchen cupboards and table. I moved the little girl a little closer to her father.
The drawing is small in size at 15 x 20 cm, the smallest size I work in for family portraits. I worked on Fabriano 5 300 gms paper with black graphite pencils by Staedtler.
