This is a new commission from a client in Ireland. It is a pencil drawing of a very cute pug called Butter. The client tells me he is a very happy little dog and walks around proudly and determined. I’m trying to show that in his portrait. The original photograph is quite dark so I am trying to lighten it all a little bit to show the folds of the skin and shiny fur. I have other reference photographs which helps a lot. I will be darkening all of it a little at a later stage when the background is finished.
The portrait is 8″ x 12″ in size. Below are two progress images and I will be finishing on this portrait in a couple of days so check back soon for updates.
