After a long break I am writing here again. I have been so busy over the past two months working on your commissions. There have been many, drawings and paintings alike, of all sorts of subjects, landscapes and even houses. This year has been a very strange sort of year and I experienced a very busy one. My instagram page is doing very well and being not so sure about social media, it surprised me. It brought me closer to my customers I think. It is easy to update it and I just love the layout.

I loved working on all the portraits this past year. Some were very enjoyable, some were challenging and hard and sometimes I felt like throwing my pencil or brush away, but at the end all my clients were happy and that is the most important thing.

So here is the next one in my long list of catching-up on my finished work. This one I work on back in the summer. It was commissioned by the man’s mum of her son and his favourite pet, a dog who has passed away now.

The drawing was to fill a small picture frame the client gifted to her son years ago. He never got around to fill it with a photo, so she decided to commission a drawing of him with his dog, whom he was very close to. The portrait was worked on from two separate photos as they were taken several years apart.

The drawing is small at 20 x 25 cm. I used Mars Lumograph Black graphite pencils by Staedtler. I am including a photo I took of the finished drawings with the pencils.

The client was delighted with the finished portrait:

Dear Ivana! I just got home to the picture which is absolutely beautiful.
