This is Snowey’s finished portrait which I have scanned today. Snowey was a beautiful long haired white cat and she looks so soft in the photo. I wanted to translate this into the portrait. I have blended the pencil well to create a softness to the portrait. The client wanted to show the whiteness of Snowey’s fur in the portrait, so I tried not to make it too dark. There were shadows on Snowey’s face in the photo and I have softened them a little. The portrait is going to be a gift for Snowey’s owner. The portrait will be mounted before sent to the client.
