Art Studio Updates

I work from my studio in Kilcock. It is a small room with shelves all around to put my finished and unfinished work onto. I like to give each work a few days to 'rest' before I completely finalise them and email my clients their portrait scans. On this page, you will find more information on how I work together with some progress photos and videos of my process. I discuss the materials I use and how I go about completing each piece of work. Because I work from photographs, I like to share them here too for comparison. You can subscribe to the blog and receive updates 3 to 4 times a month.

Basset Hounds Portrait

This is the final scan of the finished drawing of Jasmine and Daisy – the very cute basset hounds. I really enjoyed working on their dog portrait. Their eyes are so expressive and their expressions so individualistic. You can really tell their personality just by looking at them. The client…

Basset hounds portrait – step 2

I have progressed on Jasmine’s and Daisy’s portrait in the last few days. Jasmine’s portrait is more less finished now and I will move on to finish off Daisy. When Daisy’s portrait is completed, I will evaluate the entire drawing and make changes if necessary. I have been very busy…
