I completed this portrait a couple of weeks ago. It was commissioned before Christmas and it is my second commission for this year. The portrait was square in size and as you can see, it is a selfie. I wasn’t sure about it when I first saw the photo, but as I started working on the painting, it really grew on me. It is an interesting perspective and it reflects our lives today. I loved the joy oozing from the picture and I wanted to capture that. The portrait was 30 x 30 cm in size, painted with acrylics on stretched canvas.
