I’ve been working on this adorable Shih Tzu portrait in pencil for the last couple of days. His name is Ted and it is a comission from a client in Ireland. He is such a cute character and I am trying to translate this with graphite pencil on paper. The size is 8″ x 10″ and I am using Daler Rowney artists graphic pencils on Fabriano paper. I am hoping to have the portrait finished tomorow just in time for Christmas as this is a Christmas gift for the client’s friend.
The images are photographs and so are quite dark. The final image will be a scan and so will look very much like the original drawing.
