I worked on Sam’s portrait back in October and it was a very enjoyable commission. I had a lot of reference photos to work from. The painting is 40 x 40 cm in size and painted with acrylics on stretched canvas. The painting of Sam was commissioned as a wedding present for the client’s bride to be. Sam was her dog who sadly passed away a few months ago. He was 11 years old. The client described Sam as a lovely black labrador with a great big bold head and a very shiny coat.
The client was very happy with the finished painting and sent me a lovely email:
