I have just finished this dog portrait and below is the final scan. The portrait is drawn with graphite pencils ranging in hardness from HB through 2B to 4B for darkest areas. I have also used coloured pencil for some highlights. The browns really make the portrait come together and by adding some soft landscape background, Gorby as the main subject just ‘pops’ from the page. This portrait is a Christmas present and I hope the owner will be happy with it. I must say, it was a pleasure to work on.
