I have returned to working on Robin’s portrait today. Robin is a lovely rottweiler and I am painting her portrait with acrylics on stretched canvas. The size of canvas is 30 x 40 cm (12 x 16 inch). Today, I have added another thin wash over the entire portrait to give the painting more body and connect all areas together. I have also filled in all areas where the canvas was peeking through. The next step was to start detailing individual features. I have worked on the eyes (my favourite) and the areas around the eyes and nose. In the next stage I will continue detailing the entire portrait and the painting will be finished very soon.
