Brodie and Bruar are two gorgeous black labradors whose portrait I have been working on for the past week or so. They are just so lovely and the reference photo was a little different. Looking down at the two dogs, with some stones at their paws, I think the composition works really well. This portrait was such a pleasure to work on. The portrait is going to be a gift for the dogs’ owners who live in Liverpool. I hope they like it 🙂 The drawing is 25 x 30cm (10″ x 12″) in size and it is drawn with graphite pencils on paper. I have a mount already prepared for the portrait. I will mount it once the drawing is approved by the client.
Next one up is a portrait of three black labradors for the same client (and yes all five are a part of one dog family :). This one will be a drawing 25 x 35cm (10″ x 14″) in size.
