I have been very busy in the studio over the last few weeks and I never got time to update the blog. I will be working on a new family portrait soon and I will update this space with progress pictures. I have finished two family portraits that have gone to the clients and they are very happy with the results. The first portrait is a wedding portrait. It was commissioned as a birthday gift to the bride by her children. She is celebrating her 70th birthday and sadly her husband has passed away recently. What a lovely keepsake for her. It is a lovely vintage portrait. The photograph was just beautiful and I thoroughly enjoyed the drawing process. This drawing is 12 x 16 inches in size (30 x 40cm). The second portrait is also a birthday gift, this time for a 40th birthday of the subject in this drawing. It was commissioned by a couple for their son-in-law who lives in Sweden. He is a guitarist and this made it a very exciting project for me. I don’t get to draw musical instruments very often 🙂 This portrait was a contemporary 10 x 10 inches in size (25 x 25 cm). Both portraits were mounted in a neutral colour mount with a backing board, as usual.
