I have been working on a large painting of a cross country running race over the last week and it got me thinking I have been commissioned to create sports portraits on more than one occasion. I thought I will put them all together in one post…

I worked on a few horse racing portraits, rugby players, gaa players and the newest one is one of a runner which would be my first so far. I love the sense of movement I can achieve in a sporting portrait, the colours of the sportswear and the backgrounds can be so eye catching.
