I work from my studio in Kilcock. It is a small room with shelves all around to put my finished and unfinished work onto. I like to give each work a few days to 'rest' before I completely finalise them and email my clients their portrait scans. On this page, you will find more information on how I work together with some progress photos and videos of my process. I discuss the materials I use and how I go about completing each piece of work. Because I work from photographs, I like to share them here too for comparison. You can subscribe to the blog and receive updates 3 to 4 times a month.

This is one my recent commissioned family drawings. The couple in the portrait are my client’s parents, now deceased, and my client wanted a keepsake portrait of them to display in her home. Her mum Tess loved the outdoors, flowers and gardens. Her father Larry was a vet and the…
This painting of beautiful Tanya was commissioned by clients I created a few paintings for to date. They are very keen dog lovers and show their dogs in dog shows. Their dogs are often very unusual and specially well looked after. Tanya sadly passed away late last year after almost…
Teddy is a beautiful greyhound dog whose painting was commissioned by a client in Clondalkin in Dublin. Teddy is her sister’s beloved pet dog and she loves his ‘like a baby’ as my client put it. My client wanted to give her sister a very special birthday gift and commissioned…
I was contacted by Ben’s owner at the end of 2022 about commissioning a painting of Ben who sadly passed away after many years with the family. He was almost blind, but managed very well and was very much loved by his owners. They wanted a memory of him in…
